We have a butterfly!
I was going to take a picture of the cocoon @ 3:30 because it was black and I knew it would be out soon, but had an errand to run....one hour later and:

1st "J"
We have out 1st Monarch going into it's "J" as I call it.......they hang like this as they go into their pupa or chrysalis stage.......the kids call it the cocoon.
Monarch update
Well, we've counted at least 9 Monarch caterpillars, and they're all getting pretty big. Last week I sent an e-mail to the school seeing if any classes wanted some and both 1st grade classes and a 4th grade class wanted some, so we sent 2 each and Georgia as very happy when she got to deliver them, especially to her 1st grade teacher.

We have Monarchs!
We get them every August on the Milkweed by the garage. This is the 1st time I've seen them so small. They aren't even 1cm yet. I'll be more pics as they get bigger. I am going to guess we'll see cocoon's next weekend or so.
